Saturday, the Shawnee County Democrats teamed up with a few Chords & Oil members to clean up the Gourds & Soil community garden at 19th & Fillmore in Topeka, KS.

The Dems cut down brush, mowed, cut back weeds, pulled weeds from the existing plot, planted a new flower bed, and started a compost pile.

Neighbors came out with mowers and rakes to help the effort.
