Meeting minutes 11/8
Upcoming Dates:
- Next board meeting: Saturday, December 12, 10 am at Lola’s Cafe Espresso
- Nov. 15th, 1pm: Dedication of the mural featuring Elmhurst Neighborhood at the Chesney Park Great Mural Wall, 20th and Western.
- Nov. 16, morning: Promote ReThink Topeka. (see below)
- Nov. 18th, 7pm: screenprinting factory at the Marable residence. Volunteers needed.
- December 5th, 10 am: Business plan committee formation meeting, tentative
Other notes:
- We have restructured.
- Wrote a check to Justin Marable for $150 for the purchase of 23 American Apparel T-shirts and related screenprinting supplies.
- Harvested 10 grocery bags of produce from the Gourds & Soil community garden, including spinach, lettuce, Swiss chard, radishes, and two cabbages. Some of the produce was shared with neighbors.
- Proposed moving the Bleeding Kansas Avenue event to next Halloween, or April Fools’ Day.
- Will promote ReThink Topeka again on November 16 — everyone post the message to your Facebook wall that day!
- Decided to move from a Facebook Group to a Facebook Fan Page for purposes of better promotion and better defining membership.
